Great Sky RV Park Wedowee

Great Sky RV Park at Lake Wedowee is mostly a long-term destination RV park located on the banks of Lake Wedowee (RL Harris Reservoir), in Wedowee Alabama.

Phase 1 opens in March of 2022 and features 18 long term RV sites including 8 waterfront sites and 10 first tier sites with water views. Phase 1 includes a dock, boat ramp, boat storage area, fire pits, nature trail, and a picnic pavillion.                                                    Phase 2 is under construction and will feature 18 additional off water sites and a second larger dock.  Sites are mostly back-in with gravel pads and full hook-ups with water, power, and sewer. Power is availaable in 50/30/20 amp configurations at all sies. All sites are long term rentals with annual terms that renew automatically each year at the first of the year. Tenants are able to construct decks and roofs over their RV and lot area with permission of the landlord. Lake Wedowee is a popular destination considered to be a premier fishing lake and is growing in popularity for water recreation including boating, tubing, skiing, and wakeboarding. Most visitors come from the suburbs of major metropolitan areas of Atlanta and Birmingham which are just 90 minutes away. 

For 2023 we plan to add 18 additional sites for a total of 54 RV sites and will also provide a comfort station/bathhouse and other amenities. Plans also include several Yurt/Tent glamping sites complete with power, water and bathroom connections. And finally, we are planning to build a tree house rental unit suitable for sleeping up to 12 people and conditioned for year round use. The tree house will feature a large elevated deck, rope bridges, ladders, cargo net lounge, great views and much more. Guests will have access to all the park amentities including the lake access.
